Could I order some peace?

OK everybody up! Rise and shine! Good Morning to You!
How is your day so far? That’s not a trick question. It’s early and here we are at a brand new day. Yesterday is gone, with all its good and all its not so good. Yesterday with all the good news, then the bad; the moments that brought joy, and those that pummeled us to our knees; the smooth sailing and the turbulent seas. All behind, all in the past – history.  There are still remnants and consequences of yesterday, but we have this new day to begin again.
Did you know that when God made us in his own image way back there in Genesis that he made us for relationship with him? We were born seeking God and he promises that when we do that, we will find comfort for our weary souls. Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV) You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Oh we might still be weary physically, but our spirit is renewed and can go on. Isaiah 26:3 (NIV) You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.
When you look at your plans for today, I pray that they include the presence of an omnipotent, all powerful, all knowing God who loves you and is on your side waiting to help you through whatever comes your way today. Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.
I don’t know about you, but I am so done with yesterday’s pain and ready for a clean slate and I’m suiting up – got my armor on, and am craving God’s presence and the peace that can only come from him. When Jesus rose from the grave and went back to heaven, he promised to leave something with his children for ages to come. Peace in the turmoil; peace when there is no peace. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Peace, for the battle, confidence that He who has begun a good work will continue it.
