Trust

I woke up this morning with these words on my heart “Trust in the Lord”  and I haven’t been able to get them off my mind.  Just for today –I’m going to show you where God said my focus needed to be today.  I hope these verses get inside your heart and give you precious comfort and unspeakable joy today.
Psalm 40:3 He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.
Psalm 73:28 It is good for me to be near God.  I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge;  I will tell of all your deeds.
Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Proverbs 3:1-6 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, they will bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Psalm 37:3 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
There have been many things to pray about lately. These are not ambiguous requests like pray for all the missionaries, or pray for good weather.  No.  These are specific, urgent requests.  When someone asks you to pray – you can at that moment, pray. You can bookmark your place and pray later.  When you pray, it’s an acknowledgement that God is sovereign, he holds the power, he is our firm foundation and it is he who controls the universe. Go to the rock.   Isaiah 25:4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
